The most beautiful girl I had ever laid my eyes on.

She was my girlfriend the summer we graduated from Memorial in Totowa. She was so beautiful and a great kisser. After 1 week of our freshman year at PV a senior, nice looking fellow with blonde hair swept her off her feet and away she went.  From that moment on we said hello occasionally in the hallway but that was it.

One day about 2 years before she died by chance I saw her, she was a real estate agent and was parked waiting to show clients a house. The clients weren't in the car yet, they were still in the office.  I was so tongue tied I couldn't believe it, just to say "hello, how are you?" she was still so beautiful...........but she recognized me right away and remembered.    What more can you say.

What can you say about John that hasen't been said already. When he died, to me it felt like one of the Beatles died.

I'll tell you a story.  About maybe 2 years before he died I was driving in the north bound lane of route 23 in Cedar Grove and there's John standing out in front of the CVS on the corner of Stevens Ave and he's staring at that church that was built next to the old Meadowlands. He's just staring.  I pulled over and said " John how the hell are you and what are you staring at"?.  He say's the church, which was still under construction at the time but was pretty much complete, the bell towers were large and really looked cool. Well we exchanged greetings and hugs and he turns to me and says," my wfe is in CVS but I want to go up into those bell towers", I said OK lets do it. So the two of us ran across the street pushed aside the plywood door cover which had cinderblocks holding it closed and we proceeded to go into the church trying to find the entrance to the bell towers.Well guess what, the towers were a fake facade, there were no steps.  The funning thing is I recognized it right away when we got in there but John insisted there had to be an entrance so he ran all over the place looking until he realized there wasn't one.   Well we had a big laugh and walked out, replaced the plywood and cinderblocks and said goodbye.....just like that.......that was John for ya.  Part 2 to the story.....we come out and John's wife is standing there wondering where he went.  He introduced me to her and I left.  The next time I saw him was at his funeral.  Funny memory i'm glad we shared.
