SUSAN M. (nee Canova) VETERI, 71, of LITTLE FALLS died Monday at home as she received the loving care of her family.
Born in Paterson, NJ, Mrs. Veteri resided in Little Falls her entire life. For the last 20 years, she was employed by the Whitmore Insurance Agency of Fairfield, NJ. She was a graduate of the Passaic Valley High School, Class of 1964 and then graduated Berkeley College of West Paterson.
Mrs. Veteri was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls where she was a CCD Teacher for many years. She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Little Falls, the Little Falls ABC, Little Falls Historical Society and was an Honorary Life Member of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers (PTA) in recognition of devoted and distinguished services to children and youth. She and her husband were members of Glen Ridge Country Club.
Mrs. Veteri is survived by her husband of 52 years, John J. Veteri; her children, Janine Barone and her husband Thomas of Little Falls; John J. Veteri, Jr. of Little Falls, Susan Reali and her husband, Frank of North Caldwell and Lauren Veteri of Little Falls; her five grandchildren, Michael, Marco, Tommy, Julia and Mia; her sister, Rosemarie Hemsey and her husband, Sami, her brother, Nicholas Canova and his wife, Lillian of Cedar Grove, her sister in law, Eleanor Veteri of Caldwell and several nieces and nephews.
