Paul was my cousin..... Became a professor at a Va college........he is missed..

Victor John Cornetto (1964)

Paul Joseph Caruso of 1722 Westover Avenue, Petersburg, Va., entered into eternal life on August 3, 2001. He was the only child of the late Joseph Anthony Caruso and Jacqueline Trevisano Caruso. He was born in Patterson, N.J. in 1946 and lived in Petersburg since 1982 when he accepted the position of Professor of Business and Economics at Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary. He was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society in Economics and of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. During his lifetime he had been very active in community activities including Board of Directors of Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, four term president of the Italian American Cultural Association of Virginia, Jaycees, Rotary, Virginia Association of Economists, Fellow of Students in Free Enterprise, Catholic Volunteer in the Federal Prison System, Liturgy Committee of St. John Roman Catholic Church, Petersburg Art League. Sir Paul was a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, an Order of the Catholic Church whose seat is at the Vatican in Rome. He was also publications editor for the Richmond Diocesan Section of the Order at the time of his death. He was the author of The Franklin Letter: A Review of the Long Island Economy, and The Union Trust Letter: A Review of the Fairfield County Economy. He is survived by a number of cousins, aunts, uncles and godchildren, Ashton Claire Thompson and Alexander Stephen Thompson. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in his parish church, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 151 W. Washington St. on Tuesday, August 7 at 11 a.m. with Father Robert M. Spencer as celebrant. The entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday in the Petersburg Chapel, Wythe and Adam Sts. of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Homes and visitation will follow until 9 p.m.

Anthony Defranco (Defranco) (1964)

paul was one of three best friends..  he is the god father of my daughter rosalie.  paul was a great guy and friend.
