Varilyn Wallis Disbrow - Class Of 1964

Varilyn W. "Val" Kowalick died at Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville, on Saturday, May 1, 2010, after a long illness. She was 64. Arrangements are by Lewis and Carey, Directors of Funerals, 312 W. Main St., Boonton, N.J. 07005, (973) 334-0842. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, May 6, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friends and family will gather at the funeral home on Friday, May 7, 2010, at 9 a.m., with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Rd., Totowa, N.J. 07512, immediately following the service. Born in Little Falls on March 5, 1946, to the late William E. and Lucille H. (Murphy) Disbrow, Ms. Kowalick was most recently a resident of Boonton Township. She was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Navy as an SN E-3 from 1964 until 1966. She was a dental assistant for the former Sullivan and Tirpak dental practice in Sparta for over 15 years before her retirement. Survivors include her daughter, Terry L. Davidson; her son-in-law, Michael B. Davidson, and her granddaughter, Abigail Lynne Davidson.
