John L., age 69, of Fair Lawn, NJ, formerly of West Paterson, NJ, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at home with his family. Beloved husband of Alida (nee Koors) Mancinelli, devoted father of Jared I. Mancinelli, of Fair Lawn, and Ian E. Mancinelli and his wife Michele, of Enfield, CT, loving son of Theresa Mancinelli, of Brick Township, NJ and the late Louis J. Mancinelli, dear brother of Lisa M. Honan, of Brick Township, NJ, dear uncle of Gebhardt Zurburg and his wife Jaymie Gerard, of Fair Lawn, NJ. John was a graduate of Muhlenberg College, in Allentown, PA where he earned a Bachelors degree in economics and was also a graduate of New York University where he earned a Masters degree in urban planning. John was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. John was employed as a urban and transportation planner for the City of Paterson, County of Passaic, Computran Systems in Hackensack and Dunn Engineering in Hackensack. John served on the Fair Lawn School Board and became a master board member and was a volunteer for the Fair Lawn Boy Scouts, the Fair Lawn Cub Scouts and coached baseball and soccer.
