Janet Bognar (nee Hoban), 70, formerly of Woodland Park, New Jersey passed away on September 17, 2024 at home in Sarasota, Florida after a brief illness.

Janet is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Bognar, her mother, Joan Hoban, Sarasota, Florida, children Melissa Egan and Matthew Egan, sister-in-law Claudia Bognar Sanders and her husband Alan Sanders, her sister Deborah Stansfield (dec'd), her dear aunts, Frances Kientz, Woodland Park, NJ and Anita Gianetti and her husband Samuel Cedar Grove, NJ, her two nieces Lauren Morris, Yardley, PA, and Andrielle Spadaccini, Burlington, NC and several cousins.

She attended Memorial School in Woodland Park, NJ and Passaic Valley Regional High School, in Little Falls, NJ.

Janet worked at State Farm Insurance Company, Wayne, New Jersey for 26 years. After moving to Florida in 2000 she worked for State Farm Ins. Co. in Englewood, Fla. For 3-4 years before starting her own insurance company- Vestor Ins. Services. in 2006 with one file box and rented a little suite at a realtor's office. She then moved to her own office, hired more agents and loved every minute of this adventure. Vestor Ins. Services earned the Five Star Homeowner award 9 years in a row in the Sarasota area, Vestor Ins. Services was acquired by Wallace, Welch and Willingham. Janet was a Senior Personal Insurance Advisor. She was a member of ABWA (American Business Women's Association), Sarasota Insurance Professionals, West Coast Women's Assoc., Previous BNI member and Realtor groups.
