Geri was born in Paterson, NJ to Nicholas+Dorothy (Marklin)Christopher. As a young child she moved to Totowa with her family. She attended and graduated Passaic Valley High School. She was very artistic and was accepted to PRATT ART School where she studied fine arts. She received much recognition for her work and some pieces were even featured on the cover of their monthly magazines. She married Anthony Miranda, a decorated war veteran, in 1954 and had two children, Carol and James, before Anthony’s passing.

She moved to Wayne NJ in the early 60's where she went back to school for nursing and became a LPN. She also met her longtime partner and husband Alfred Breit, owner of Corrugated Container Corporation.  They loved Spring Lake and bought a home there, where they lived happily for many years. They also both loved traveling and traveled throughout the world together. To be closer to her grandson, after Alfred's death she moved to Pompton Plains where she lived with her son. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

Geri was the co-founder of All Faith Monument Works in Newfoundland, NJ (the only "true" full scale monument manufacturer in the area) that was started with her son James Christopher 25 years ago. James passed away in 2004 and Geri thereafter ran the business with her daughter Carol and her grandson Andrew. The three generations work there together creating beautiful unique memorials. She loved coming to work and was an excellent designer, saleswoman and bookkeeper. Geri also loved animals and was a regular supporter of The Humane Society. She had two rescued Chihuahuas that she adored. She loved cooking and was an excellent cook. She was an active member and supporter of the Wayne Chapter of The Zonta Club, an organization dedicated to advancing the status of women all over the world, until the Wayne chapter closed a year ago. She was extremely personable, and was loved by all. She was extremely fond of all of her cousins and looked forward to all of their get-togethers.  She was a classy and elegant lady who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
