I recently retired from 45 years of teaching music in parochial, private, and public schools. I was a church Music Director for 26 years, directing the church choir and orchestra. I am still very actively involved in music. I play trumpet and trombone in several German American bands, and I am the Music Director for the Audubon Symphony Orchestra in Trappe, PA.

Thank you, Mr. Kirkpatrick, for being my inspiration to make teaching music my career.  He, along with Mr. Baressi, made marching band the highlight of my 4 years at PVHS.  Since band was always first period of the school day, I was never late for school.  When I was in 11th grade I was selected for the NJ All State band, and that was when I decided to major in music in college.  As I started to inquire around to which were the best music colleges, I chose to attend Mr. Kirkpatrick's alma mater, West Chester University in West Chester, PA.  My career goal was to be a HS marching band director, but alas, that never happened.  I recently retired after teaching 45 year of middle school band and chorus, and elementary general music.
